Former Notre Dame and Buffalo Grove High School star Tom Zbikowski has started the last two games for the Baltimore Ravens in place of injured free safety Ed Reed. If Reed remains sidelined with a hip injury, Zbikowski, who had an interception in each of the last two games, would start against his hometown Bears on Sunday.
In the last two games Tom Zbikowski, the Ravens third-round pick out of Notre Dame in 2008, has been asked to start in place of injured future Hall of Famer Ed Reed at free safety.
For the past six seasons, Zbikowski has walked into a locker room to find his uniform hanging in his locker, first at Notre Dame, now with the Baltimore Ravens. But that doesnt mean he let traditions disappear.
